Crater Lake Charter Academy is an Oregon public school, charted through Eagle Point School District 9, operated by a 501(c)(3), Community Ed, Inc., non-profit corporation, with a governing Board.
CLCA opened its doors to students in September 2014, quickly filling its seats with nearly 200 students attending through the 2014/2015. For the 2015/2016 school year, CLCA has increased its enrollment cap to 250 students, with a further increase to the cap being set at 265 for the 2016/2017 school year. In 2017, Eagle Point School District 9 renewed CLCA’s operating charter for an additional three years, increasing the student enrollment to 275 students in 2017 and 300 students in 2018.
As the student population has soared, CLCA secured a new school site for the 2015/2016, which doubles the instructional space for the school’s learning centers. In 2017, CLCA purchased a new facility, doubling again the space for student in. Through frugal budget management, the administration and Charter Board was able to purchase the new location and offer students one of the nicest charter school facilities in the region.
