Hunter and his Trophy

HunterHunter and his Trophy

Hunter Granger, a scholar at Crater Lake Academy, has been making waves in the local kart racing scene. Starting his racing career at the tender age of six, this year marks Hunter's seventh full-time season behind the wheel.

Hunter's passion for racing has taken him to tracks across the region, including the now-closed Yreka track, Cycleland in Chico, and the Southern Oregon Outlaw Kart Track in White City, where he clinched the Summer Championship in the 250s class this year. During the winter season, you can find him competing in Roseburg and Red Bluff.

This impressive feat is not Hunter's first taste of victory. He took home his first championship in his very first year of racing, competing in the beginner boxstock class at the Yreka track.

Despite his accomplishments, Hunter remains humble and keeps his racing life separate from his school life. "He's not a bragger," his family says. Balancing his academic pursuits at Crater Lake Academy with the demands of racing demonstrates Hunter's dedication and focus.

Congratulations Hunter on all of your accomplishments. We are excited to watch your continued success on the track and at CLA.
